The Angus Young Engineers group, based at Forfar Academy, has attracted funding from property specialist Ross & Liddell.
The club, which involves more than 120 members, encourages pupils to get involved in science and engineering activities during lunchtime and after school.
Pupils can also work towards achieving CREST qualification - a creative science and technology award.
Four members recently attended the national 4x4in Schools competition, in Coventry to showcase their skills and compete against other pupils from across the UK.
The funding from Ross and Liddell helped to purchase the competition kit as well as cover some of the travel costs.
Teacher Bob Baldie, who runs the club, said: “It’s amazing to see how much the students develop and grow in confidence during their time at the club and it looks great on a CV or university application if they want to follow a career in the industry.”
