This Sunday the majestic grounds of Glamis Castle will be filled with pet owners enjoying a day out especially arranged for them and their dogs.

Dogs’ Day Out at Glamis is Welsh pet food manufacturer Burns Pet Nutrition’s first Scottish event and is modelled around their highly successful and popular Welsh show which is now in its 10th year.

The emphasis is on having fun with your dog while raising money and awareness for animal rescues and learning more about responsible pet ownership.

From a parade of pedigree breeds (including the rarer Scottish breeds), displays by Search & Rescue dogs to the highly entertaining ‘Canine Singer of the Year’ competition, there is plenty for visitors to do and see.

Show Organiser Rowan Flindall-Shayle said: “We were honoured to be asked to bring our Dogs’ Day Out to Glamis. Visitors can look forward to a packed day which should bring a smile to every face.”

Show visitors will even have the chance to win one tonne of Burns premium dog food for a UK rescue of their choice if they make a purchase at one of the Burns stands on the day.

Dogs’ Day Out at Glamis is on Sunday, August 7, between 10am and 4pm. Parking for the show is £2 per vehicle. All dog activities and classes are £1 per dog per go and are entered on the day.
