Police in Angus are investigating after three windows were smashed at an Indian restaurant in Forfar last night (Monday).

Parveen Banu, proprietor of the Rupali Restuarant on Forfar’s Queen Street, was shocked when she was woken by officers at 3am with the bad news about the damage.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police in Forfar are appealing for information following a vandalism to three windows at Rupali Restaurant in Queens Street that happened sometime between 10.15pm on Monday, April 3 and 2am on Tuesday, April 4.

“Anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 8232/17.”
