POLICE in Forfar are investigating two cases of vandalism in the Gallowshade area of Forfar.
The first was on Friday, April 20 at around 10.30 pm whereby a male, believed to be about 17 to 18 years old, wearing dark clothing, smashed a house window in Gallowshade Road using a stone or similar item. The window was located on a footpath that runs between Dundee Road and Gallowshade Road and the youth ran off into the area of Strathmore Avenue. The second incident took place between 10 pm on Friday, April 27 and 2.45 am on Saturday, April, 28. A large piece of stone was thrown through the ground floor living-room window of a flat in Strathmore Avenue, near to the junction of Glenmoy Terrace.
Police are also investigating the theft of a quantity of items from a burger van at the Orchardbank Industrial Estate in Forfar on Monday, April 23. Between about 4.00 am and 5 am entry was forced to the van which is sited at the junction of Orchard Loan and Orchardbank. A sizeable quantity of confectionary items, cans of fizzy juice and other foodstuffs were stolen. Several youths in their late teens are believed to have been in the area about the time of this incident; anyone with any information or any knowledge of the youths are requested to contact the Police in order that these persons can be eliminated from enquiries.
