Members of the 3rd Forfar Rainbows and 5th Forfar Brownies visited the Lochside Country Park’s Rangers’ Centre recently.
They learned about the plight of our native hedgehogs, whose numbers have drastically reduced over the past 20 years.
The project run by the Rangers called ‘Going the Whole Hog’ recently donated a hedgehog home, two bat boxes and spring bulbs to the Guide Centre to encourage our nocturnal neighbours into the centre garden.
The photograph shows the girls and their leaders accepting the bat boxes from Ranger Mhairi.
3rd Forfar Rainbows also completed a sponsored walk around Forfar Loch and raised £183 which they donated to the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
