Countdown to Kirrie Stardust

KIRRIEMUIR student Daniel Douglas is putting the finishing touches to his latest show which will run, for one night only, in Kirriemuir Town Hall in the summer.

Tickets have now gone on sale for Stardust, which will take place on Friday, August 3.

Daniel has just completed his HND in Musical Theatre at Adam Smith’s in Kirkcaldy, and is delighted to have secured a place on the BA (Hons) course in musical theatre at Bucks University, Amersham, on the outskirts of London.

Following on from the success of his Rhythm of the Night show in 2010, Daniel (20) has put together Stardust and he promises his dancers are “bigger and better”.

Daniel is no newcomer to the Kirriemuir stage. He has been involved with numerous productions locally, including Kirriemuir pantomimes and productions with Thomson Leng in Dundee. He hopes to work professionally on stage in plays and musicals and is a strong actor, singer and dancer.

Stardust will include song, dance, cabaret, modern music and musical numbers and all money raised will help towards his tuition fees in London.

Tickets for the show are available now, priced £6 and £5 (concessions) from the Kirriemuir Art Gallery or the Ogilvy Bar in Kirriemuir.
