A group of budding entrepreneurs from Webster’s High School’s Support for Learning Department have just completed an enterprise project as part of their National 2 Business Course.

While the course allows participants to develop their knowledge and understanding of basic business concepts, customer care skills, and other skills relevant to a business enterprise the pupils also had another objective in mind.

They aimed to make a substantial profit which they planned to donate to a worthy cause – Macmillan Nurses. Their business, ‘Smart Cookies’, sold decorated storage jars donated by Ikea which they filled with ingredients to make delicious Easter cookies. The product was a sell-out and the team made £210 which was gratefully received by Kerry Low from the Macmillan Centre, Stracathro Hospital.
