A Forfar-based engineering company is celebrating after winning several significant contracts worth around £5 million.

John M Henderson Machines has agreed the international deals over the past 8 months which include the engineering, manufacture and installation of coke oven machinery in Brazil, China, Argentina and the UK.

The contracts will take around two years to complete and have enabled the company, which specialises in the supply of coke oven machines to the international steel industry, to expand by employing new staff.

The largest contract, worth around £4 million, is to provide the latest pollution control equipment for ArcelorMittal’s Tubarao facility in Brazil.

Oana Niculita, head of sales and marketing, said the success is due to cutting-edge technology and customer comfort with the in-house expertise.

She continued: “The JMH engineering is world-renowned in its field for excellence, innovation and above all the competent delivery of projects. We are now seeing the benefits of our long-developed engineering technology with more than 60 years of industry experience”.
