The Volvo heavy articulated lorry was travelling up a section of the road known as Powrie Brae when the fire started.

Both lanes of the carriageway were closed whilst Tayside Fire and Rescue extinguished the blaze.

The fire caused considerable disruption and delays in the area and both Tayside Police and Tayside Fire and Rescue would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding.
