In THE second of a series of three large community meetings in Forfar, the Local Community Planning Team is inviting all local groups and individuals in Forfar to take part in a discussion focusing on how to market Forfar as a visitor destination.
The original discussion in January highlighted issues around coach parking; a coordinated marketing campaign focusing on Forfar’s assets; promoting existing path and cycle networks; and encouraging the creation of additional tourist accommodation. These issues will form the central part of the discussion on April 16.
This who were involved in the January event also identified a number of public services which could possibly help with a discussion on marketing Forfar. Happily the Local Community Planning Team has secured representation from Angus Council’s Cultural Service and Economic Development units, as well as Visit Scotland, the national tourism agency.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 16, from 6.30 p.m. in St John’s Church hall.
Everyone with an interest is encouraged to come along and only a strong turnout from community organisations will produce a useful and helpful discussion.
