COLIN Brown is making a bid for a second term as an Independent Councillor representing the Forfar and District ward on Angus Council.
Mr Brown is Forfar born and bred and, through his involvement in girls’ football and Forfar Farmington, he has been a supporter of community projects throughout the area for a good number of years.
“I am not making any extravagant promises as to what I can do for the people of Forfar,” he comments.
“This is a time when the cut back in public sector finances means that there will be very difficult decisions ahead for whatever council administration is formed after May 3. All I can promise is that I will do my utmost to fight for the needs of Forfar, working with the people of Forfar and, most importantly, the voluntary organisations in the town that are becoming the life-blood of the community.
“My whole background is in working with the voluntary sector and community for the benefit of all and it is that ethos and principle I will, if elected, take into the next council.”
