Two local branches of the Clydesdale Bank are to open on Saturdays, in a raft of changes announced this week.
Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks revealed a number of branches in Scotland and England, where Yorkshire Bank operates, would close and Saturday hours would now be implemented in some branches.
The banks’ changes are part of a programme of investment, restructuring and improvements. The changes means 26 Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank branches will close - however none of the current Angus Clydesdale branches are earmarked to close.
The Montrose and Broughty Ferry branches are part of 39 new branches across the UK to open Saturdays by the end of this year. The Saturday opening hours at branches will also be changing from the current 9.15am to 1.15pm, to 9.15am to 4pm.
