CHSS needs your help

The Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland charity shop at 80 Castle Street, Forfar is in urgent need for donations to restock its shelves.

As the shop manager Tracey Brown explains: “We desperately need more stock to sell in our shop.

“We’ve had tremendous support from the people of Forfar since we opened four years ago and I’m sure once the message gets out there people locally will rally round with donations of good quality clothes, bric a brac, accessories, books and small electrical goods.

“I’d like to thank everyone in Forfar for their custom and support and ask them to bring us their unwanted goods, even if you are clearing out before Christmas we would love to take your donations.

“We have a volunteer driver who could pick up your items if you can’t deliver them yourself.

“All donations are greatly appreciated and help us to raise money to fund the charity’s wide range of local services.”

CHSS improves the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness, through medical research, influencing public policy, advice and information, and support in the community.

The Volunteer Stroke Service helps people who have had a stroke, particularly those left with communication difficulties, and we also fund stroke nurses to help people coming home from hospital after a stroke.
