All the children pre-school to primary seven at Southmuir School have been engaged in Eco Awareness Work.
They have enjoyed creating mini composters, planted seeds, recorded and organised data on energy consumption, learned about the affects of global warming on farming and wildlife in the local area, identified foods from the each of the five main food groups, made nest boxes and bird feeders, participated in recycling and a litter pick in the local community.
The final events include participating in Earth Hour and welcoming their parents into school on Monday, March 28 to hear all about their good work at assembly.
