AFTER three years of planning, staff and patients of the Kirriemuir Dental Practice moved in to their brand new surroundings in Northmuir on Monday.

The purpose built facility has seven surgeries (as opposed to the previous five), a dedicated room for child/smile oral health education and facial aesthetics.

Partner Aisling Hanly said local contractors had been used throughout the project and that the move would allow the practice to provide additional services. The new facility can be viewed at an open day on Saturday, July 7 from 12.30-15.30. Robin Guild of Guild Homes (Tayside) Ltd said: “Guild Homes are delighted to have provided a suitable piece of land and being entrusted to build a new surgery for Kirriemuir Dental Practice. As a developer committed to working in Angus it was great to see the majority of the construction works on the new surgery being completed by our local workforce. People from Kirriemuir played a very active role in not only planning and managing the build, but from digging the foundations, building and roughcasting the structure, manufacturing the surgery units, through to completing the plumbing work and painting the building out.”
