FORFAR Rotary Club is holding a cycle safety awareness day followed by a casino night in the Reid Hall this Saturday.

The cycle event runs from 10 am to 4 pm and will feature a vast selection of exhibitors, from national to local level, keen to promote safety awareness in all aspects of cycling.

It is free of charge and is geared to suit all age groups, from children and individual cyclists to those organising future cycle runs and group events. It will feature a presentation by the Angus Mountain Bike Trails Association who are seeking to provide a mountain bike track in the forest areas of Glenisla and local businessman Andrew Renwick of The Outdoor Store will be on hand to demonstrate how to carry out routine cycle maintenance and repairs. There will be a display of old bicycles dating back to the 1950s and earlier as well as Police advice on cycle safety. Details of the ‘Country Access Code’ from Scottish Natural Heritage will also be available as part of a packed programme.

The casino night begins at 7 pm on Saturday, all welcome, tickets at door.
