Band night for Nepal trip

Local bands will take to the stage early next month to support Forfar Academy’s fund-raising for its forthcoming trip to Nepal.

The school will take a group of pupils to the Himalayan country in October this year and a band

night has been organised for Saturday, March 7 to help boost the pupils’ efforts.

It will be held in The Strathmore Hall, Forfar Mart, on Saturday, March 7, with the performance starting at 7.30 p.m. Emerald Sunday will appear as part of their tour to promote their second album, ‘Revolution’. Support will come from Amber Road, a celtic rock outfit from Angus and Fife, fresh from a recent slot on Big Country’s ‘Steeltown’ 30th Anniversary Tour. Also on the bill will be Forfar group Around 7, while kicking off the evening’s entertainment will be popular Forfar trio Ganked.
