Up and coming Forfar band White Baer are continuing to make their name on the music scene with the launch of their second EP.
The four-piece band - formed only a year ago - were celebrating on Monday when their new EP titled ‘The Promise of a Life of Violence’ was released.
It was the culmination of four months of writing as the four - Nicky Johnston, Dan Hedge, Danny Sturrock and Adam Valentine - took a break from gigging earlier this year and the result is three new tracks.
The EP is a follow-up to ‘Police Me’ which was released last October and which was met with critical acclaim.
The reaction to the band’s first three songs on their first EP launched the band onto the Scottish music scene, securing them gigs in Scotland’s major cities - Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen, with dates in Dunfermline and Perth and, on Christmas Eve, a home gig in Forfar.
Bass player Danny said: “Our first EP was really well received and it gave us a platform to get gigs all over Scotland and to get our foot in the door.
“We have another gig lined up for Buskers in Dundee on October 4 and have a good group of supporters who now follow us. It is great seeing well-known faces in the crowd.”
