Annual meetings mark end of WRIs’ season


President Norma Craig welcomed members to the AGM at Strathmore Arms, Glamis.

She thanked the committee and all members for the support and enthusiasm she has received when she persuaded them to take part in Federation Competitions including Ruralympics, quiz, indoor bowling, the co-operative and providing goods for a presentation hamper.

Honorary Members Mary Mitchell and Annie Glen counted the votes for new committee members who are Kate McFarlane, Lesley Roebuck and Wilma Burnett.

Eassie and Nevay

The Annual General Meeting of Eassie & Nevay WRI was held on May 6 where the secretary’s, treasurer’s and presidents reports were read out.

Votes were counted for the new committee by Ann Steel and Catherine McKinnis. After business Marianne Jenkins gave a talk and showed photos of her safari holiday in Kenya and Carol Andrews demonstrated how to make lace icing.
