MEMBERS of the Angus Long Term Conditions Support Group (ALTCSG) were delighted to be nominated in three categories at the Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland awards at Holyrood.

They were even more delighted and surprised to learn that they had been awarded the Resource of the Year for their website www.altcsg.org.uk.

The website supports self management, signposts to other local and national support groups, provides a forum for users, has information on healthy eating, how to stop smoking and many other areas of healthy living.

George Grandlay, accompanied by his wife Chris, from Forfar was also awarded a special commendation for his outstanding work in supporting the work of the Angus Long Term Conditions Support Group.

The group have monthly meetings in Academy Medical Centre Forfar, Parkview Community Medical Centre Carnoustie and in Brechin Infirmary Brechin.
