There will be fun and games for all the family in Glamis this Saturday (August 22) when the village holds its annual fair on the village green, Kirkwynd.
Attractions will include a skateboard park, bouncy castle and barbecue as well as a dancing display by the Sandra Wright Dancers and the village’s own ‘bake off’ with prizes for the first, second and third places.
The famous Glamis Burn duck race will take place at 3pm with entry costing £1 per duck and offering the chance to win a lot more. Harking back to the age of steam, the engine Willie Smith will also be present.
Tickets can still be bought for the community council’s raffle and there will be a number of eclectic and interesting stalls. Events will get under way at 1pm and continue until 4pm and further information is available from the Corner Shop on 01307 840222.
