All set for spring show

This SATURDAY (April 20) Kirriemuir Old Parish Church Hall will host the Spring Show of Kirriemuir and District Gardening Association.

The committee are hoping for a mild week weather-wise on the run-up to give everything a boost after the long winter. Doors open to the public at 2 p.m. when they will be able to view the exhibits in the flowers and pot plants along with handicrafts, baking, floral art and children’s entries.

The Kirrie Dumpling World Championship will continue and the committee hope for a good entry.

If you would like to enter the show, entries should be taken to the Old Parish Hall on Friday evening between 6.30 and 8 p.m. where help and advice is always available for novices.

The committee are hoping for a good number of entries and a good response from the public in support on Saturday – entry is only £1.50 which includes refreshments.

The committee hope for a good show of cut flowers and the handicrafts, baking, flower arranging and children’s classes all showcasing the wonderful local talent.
