Graeme Dey MSP will launch the Marie Curie Walk Ten at Glamis Castle on Saturday (September 6).
The Angus South representative will start the night’s proceedings at 6 p.m. as hundreds of walkers set off to complete their 10k walk.
Organisers will be accepting last minute registrations right up until the event starts.
Mr Dey said: “Fund-raising events such as Marie Curie’s Walk Ten make an invaluable contribution to the work of the charity and allows it to provide excellent care and support for people with terminal illnesses and their families all across Scotland, including Angus.”
There will be festival-like celebrations with live music, entertainment and spectacular fireworks at 10 p.m.
Registration is £20 per person (children under-16 free).
All the funds raised will help Marie Curie provide care, free of charge, to terminally ill people in their own homes across Angus and the surrounding area. Visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/walkten or for more information call 0845 052 4184.
