Lunanhead woman Mrs Susan Baillie marked her 25th birthday last week in what was her 100th year.

She was born on February 29, 1912 in the farming community Cotton of Turin. When her husband died in 1970, Susan and her children moved to Aberlemno before eventually settling in Lunanhead.

During her working life Susan was a nurse but became a housewife after having her three children Pat, Ian and Sine. Still living at home, Susan enjoys bingo on Wednesday nights.
