£400 raised at musical evening

The musical evening held at Tannadice Church on Friday, October 21 raised £400 for missionary partners Operacion St. Andres of Lima, Peru.

Many thanks are due to Bill McDonald for hosting the evening and the performers, the Northmuir WRI Choir conducted by Nancy Davidson, Zoe Innes, the wee Macks, Davina Farquharson, Jean Wilkie, and not forgetting John Fyfe who came in as a late replacement for Bob Wallace and Adam Thompson, who sadly had to call off because of family bereavement.

The events committee would also thank all who came along from surrounding areas to support the excellent entertainment provided.

Sunday, October 23, was Harvest Thanksgiving, followed by an auction of donated flowers and produce.

Pat Lawson conducted proceedings and £300 was raised for the charity, Self Help Africa, which helps provide loans, equipment etc., to improve the lot of the peoples of central Africa.

Tannadice Church is holding its monthly coffee morning this Saturday from 10 am to 11.30 am in the extension at Tannadice Church. The committee looks forward to seeing a good turnout.
