THERE is bad news for Forfar and Kirriemuir but good news for the village of Glamis - following consultations on the future of post office facilities.
Although the official announcement will not be made until tomorrow (Wednesday), it is understood that the decision has been made to close the post office facilities in Dundee Road, Forfar and at the Southmuir in Kirriemuir.

However, the good news for the Glamis community is that the proposal to reduce the village post office to that of an outreach service has been reversed.
