THE attitude of a small minority of Forfar Academy pupils who continually walk out in front of cars near Forfar Academy has come to the attention of Forfar Community Council.
At their meetings over the last two months, members have heard reports of pupils walking on the roads, refusing to move for motorists.
At their meeting last Thursday evening the worrying trend was once again raised.
Chairman Mrs Isobel Ross said:" Complaints have been received, and community councillors have witnessed, the "dare you to hit me" attitude of some Academy pupils when they are crossing the Brechin Road."
"Having strolled off the pavement without checking that it is safe to cross, they then stop in the middle of the road and appear to be challenging drivers to "keep driving and hit me".
"This is a dangerous pastime, not only for them."
Mrs Ross stated Angus Council's Community Safety Team would monitor the situation until the end of term.
