WEBSTER'S High School is to record a first early next month when it hosts an eco-fair.
This exciting new event is to be staged on Saturday, March 8, mounted by Kirriemuir Cluster Schools and Webster's High School Eco group.
Webster's High School will play host to a wide variety of stalls, activities and will provide information for
those keen to learn more about becoming more environmentally friendly.
"With such things as eco-friendly cars, child seat checks, a free-cycle swap shop, quizzes, information on recycling, a drop in cinema and refreshments, there is something for all the family to enjoy," explains a school spokesperson.
"Whether you are as green as it gets or don't know where to start, pop along anytime on Saturday, March 8 between 10am until 12 noon and together we can make a difference.
"Measure your own carbon footprint and let's build a picture of just how green Kirriemuir is.
"Bring along a book and swap it for another at the book swap stall.
"Bring along any in unwanted item and trade it for something you do want at the freecycle stall.
"You will be given a ticket for the item you hand in, which can be used to 'purchase' any of the items brought in by others. Virtually anything can be traded, including cycle helmets and sports equipment, so long as it is not broken, but please, no clothes or open cosmetics."
