A rural community on the outskirts of Kirriemuir is hoping its local hall association is successful in a nationwide competition for a "make-over".
The Westmuir Hall Association is in the running for a much needed revamp of the village hall, which was built in the 1930s.
The hall is in desperate need for help for internal decoration, and is battling against ten other organisations from all o
ver the UK in a bid to get a much-needed lick of paint.
It's part of the 'Paint for Change' scheme, which aims to help communities improve their environment. Throughout the summer, Dulux will be making over 11 community projects and Westmuir Hall Association could be among the lucky four winners of this round.
The campaign from paint experts Dulux encourages people to discover the positive effects that can come from making even just a small change - whether within the home, work or leisure environment.
Four lucky community projects from 11 listed will be transformed in August when the 'Paint for Change' makeover bus will visit the places that have received the most public votes.
As well as a team of decorators, also on board will be Dulux colour and decorating experts to help advise and inspire local residents to discover the power of small changes.
As well as the four winners, Dulux and The Sun will be making over a further two projects throughout the summer.
The Westmuir Hall is the only Scottish finalist and is competing against other projects from Surrey, West Sussex, Suffolk,Bournemouth, Wales, Gloucestershire, Bolton, West Yorkshire, Middlesbrough and Cumbria.
