RESIDENTS in the Forfar area with any type of physical disability will have the opportunity to try out bus accessibility on a static vehicle, at an event on Friday, May 28, organised by Angus Council social work and health and bus companies JP Mini Coaches and Stagecoach Strathtay.
Two buses, both low wheelchair accessible, will be in attendance at the Abbeygate car park, Academy Street, Forfar between 1.30 pm and 4 pm.
The buses will also visit the Tesco car park in Arbroath on Thursday, June 10, also from 1.30 pm to 4 pm.

It is hoped to hold similar events in Montrose and Carnoustie later this year.

Convener of social work and health, Alison Andrews said: "This is a good opportunity for people with physical disabilities to try out the process of getting on and off a bus.

"I hope that these two 'try a bus' events will help people with physical disabilities to feel more confident about using public transport and so increase their mobility and travel options."
