THE Rotary Club of Forfar will be staging its annual Ally Roebuck Memorial Quiz in the Plough Inn, Forfar on Thursday, June 14 from 7.30 pm.
This annual fixture in the Rotary calendar will be welcoming back quizmaster David Crompton and funds raised will go to Victim Support Scotland.
“We look to have as many teams as possible for this light-hearted quiz night so don’t be afraid,” says a Rotary Club spokesperson.
“Forfar Rotary Club has teams entered and they usually feature in the lower end of the results table. Have a fun night out, enter a team and at the same time you will be helping to raise funds for a worthy charity.”
Entry forms are easy to download from the Rotary website - www.forfarrotary.org.uk - or you can e-mail an entry to firstname.lastname@example.org giving your team details as per the entry form.
The money raised this year has been pledged to Victim Support Scotland, a very worthwhile charity that truly needs financial assistance.
Victim Support Scotland has had charitable status since August 1985 and was established as an independent company limited by guarantee in 1989.
Since it was established, Victim Support Scotland has become the lead organisation in Scotland providing emotional support and practical assistance to all victims of crime.
The community based Victim Service exists in all local authority areas in Scotland. These were separate charities but moved to one charity with Victim Support Scotland in July 2007.
Trained volunteers and staff deliver services to victims of crime.
