The stallholders at the Angus Farmers Market this month are looking forward to a bustling market as the winter months herald the start of shopping for comforting foods and gift ideas.
The market at the Strathmore Hall in Forfar on Saturday will have over 30 stalls giving customers a wide range of produce.
There are new stallholders joining the regulars every month now and this month Ellie Sinclair from the Veg Company based in Aberdeenshire will bring her fresh tomatoes and fresh chilies grown indoors at her farm 365 days of the year. Ellie makes a range of hot ketchups from her produce and she will bring along a good selection for customers to try.
After a successful Angus Brewfest event last month market organisers are proud of the first class brewers and distillers that attend the market.
This month they welcome back Caroline from Ogilvy Vodka who will bring along some of her “Perfect Pour” vodka cocktails.
There is also gin from Gin Bothy and Edenmill and beers from Kirrie Ales and Edenmill.
The Book Larder has a wonderful selection of book; many have a countryside link.
If you are interested in food, baking or even food foraging then you will be able to find something to suit.
There are also children’s books that would be an ideal gift.
There will be gifted crafters at the market who will bring along truly individual pieces that would enhance any home including wrought irons candlesticks and bespoke pictures and wood turned bowls.
The Dundee cheesecake stall is proving to be one of the most popular stalls with a fantastic range of baked cheesecakes.
The talent behind these wonderful cheesecakes is Craig who has turned his hobby into a very successful venture.
Anyone interested in following the footsteps of our successful stallholders can enquire at the information stall or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The market is open from 9am to 1pm indoors at the Strathmore Hall and creates a unique shopping experience with a chef demo area, free kids cooking club and on site café.
