An exciting new event for those interested in outdoor activities is taking place in Angus this September.
Called Angus Autumn Adventures, the two day festival will give participants the opportunity to take part in activities such as horse riding, wild camping, gorge walking, coasteering and canoeing.
The festival, which will take place on September 1 and 2, was officially launched at the Scottish Outdoor Pursuits Show at the weekend.
Hilary Tasker, Marketing Officer within the Economic Development Unit at Angus Council, explains more: “The aim of the festival is to offer participants taster sessions of activities they may not have tried before, at a discounted rate.
“Hopefully they will enjoy taking part in Angus Autumn Adventures and come back to visit us in their own time, to enjoy even more of what Angus has to offer.
“Most of the activities we have on offer have been organised by members of Outdoor Angus, which is a group of businesses who work together to promote the Angus countryside and the great activities that can be enjoyed here.
“There really is something for everyone, from high adrenalin experiences such as canyoning, to gentle walks in the countryside where you can learn the skills involved in wildlife photography.
“Angus is a beautiful part of the country, with lots to do. We would recommend that people come to experience it for themselves!”
