Pain and humour
A huge sell-out success at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009, Barflies, the multi-award winning site-specific company Grid Iron, runs at Dundee Rep Theatre from Thursday, February 16 to Saturday, February 18.
This is a visceral look at the pains and glories of drunkenness and all the humour, horror, hope and devastation it can bring.
Drawn from the short stories and poems of cult American writer Charles Bukowski, Barflies is a rumbustious encounter with his alter-ego Henry Chinaski and a bevvy of women who shaped his life and work.
This production contains adult material (sexual content and sweating) and is recommended for over 18s.
Ticket details from the box office on 01382 223530. Tickets are £10, students pass £5.
The performance begins at 9 pm in the upstairs bar at the theatre - bar opens at 8 pm, seats from 8.30 pm.
