Breaking Book News – a new novel from Dan Brown
Late last month the book world was energized with the news that Dan Brown has at last written a follow-up to his phenomenonally successful "The Da Vinci Code". Called "The Lost Symbol", the new book is described by his publisher as a brilliant and compelling thriller.
The story takes place in a twelve hour period and features Robert Langdon from the previous best seller. From the first page, readers will feel the thrill of discovery as they follow Langdon through a masterful and unexpected new landscape.
Talking about what is one of the most anticipated books in publishing history, Dan Brown says: "This novel has been a strange and wonderful journey. Weaving five years of research into the story's twelve-hour timeframe was an exhilarating challenge. Robert Langdon's life clearly moves a lot faster than mine."
"The Da Vinci Code" has been the UK's biggest selling paperback of all time, but if you can't wait for this new book to appear in paperback at your local supermarket, then borrow the hardback from Forfar Library.
"The Lost Symbol" is due out in September and Angus Libraries have a pre-publication order for this title.
They expect the request queue will become longer closer to the release date, but it's sitting at just two readers at the time of press. Telephone 01307 466071 or go online to http://library.angus.gov.uk and put your name in early now.
