Choral concerts

THE Samuel Chorus is to present two concerts this weekend.

The first is in Dundee West Parish Church, 132 Perth Road (opposite the art college at the top of Roseangle) on Saturday at 6.30 p.m., followed by a similar concert on Sunday evening at 6.30 p.m. in St Joyhn’s Episcopal Church, East High Street, Forfar.

The concerts will include works by Beethoven, Pachelbel, Scarlatti, Sweelinck, Warlock and Gibbons, as well as a selection of Russian and Christmas music and a flute sonata by Telemann.

Donations of £7 are invited and light refreshments will be provided.
