DENNIS AND GNASHER AT TRUST PROPERTIES
DENNIS the Menace and his faithful hound Gnasher are taking up residence at some of the National Trust for Scotland's Angus properties this summer, offering summer fun and hi-jinks for visiting families.
J.M. Barrie's Birthplace in Kirriemuir and the House of Dun near Montrose are both taking part in the conservation charity's Gnashional Treasure Hunt, where young visitors have to spot the hiding Gnashers on site.
Visitors who find the mischievous animal can collect pawprint stamps and swap them for prizes.
To join in with the fun, families have to be members of the National Trust for Scotland.
National Trust for Scotland Marketing Manager, Ian Gardner said: "The Trust is delighted to be welcoming the iconic figures of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher to J.M. Barrie's Birthplace and the House of Dun again this summer, as well as to many other of our properties throughout Scotland.
"Whether your kids like exploring castles, getting close to bugs and beasties, or hearing all the gory details of battles won and lost – then this is the perfect day out for them.
"Check out the Trust's properties in your area and bring them along during the summer holidays – and they can put their hound-dog skills to the test and win prizes for their efforts at the same time!"
The Gnashional Treasure Hunt runs at participating properties from June 12 until October 31 and is only available to new or existing members of the National Trust for Scotland.
