Forfar Academy was confirmed as the venue of a large-scale Careers Convention in October for the benefit of senior pupils in North Angus Schools.

Pupils from third to sixth year at Forfar Academy, Webster’s High School, Brechin High School and Montrose Academy would be invited.

Plans to repair the dangerous wall at Wellbraehead in Forfar took a further step forward when a tender for the work was accepted by Angus District Council’s Housing Committee. The dangerous state of the wall had been the subject of several monthly meetings of Forfar Community Council.

A donation of £85 was sent to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh by Barbara Chalmers of Kirriemuir.
