Plans for a new school at Whitehills Nursery at the east end of Forfar were discussed at a public meeting held in Langlands Primary School.

There appeared to be an acceptance of the site in general, concerns were raised about access to the building.

Forfar youngster Conor Duguid was rewarded for his role in maintaining the machinery of yesteryear. The five-year-old scooped the award for best junior member for his stationary engine at the 28th rally of the Scottish Vintage Tractor and Engine Club.

Plans to convert Oathlaw Church into a house were given the green light following an appeal to the Scottish Executive. Angus Council had initially refused permission the previous October.
