A MEMBER of staff at a Forfar opticians has been recognised among her peers for providing the best customer service in Scotland.
Laura Marie Stallerbrass was chosen out of hundreds of Specsavers staff from around the country for her outstanding retail customer service.
The 25-year-old was presented with her accolade at a special event at the Glasgow Marriot Hotel recently.
More than 500 staff were treated to a four-course dinner and entertainment from Britain’s Got Talent star Edward Reid, and comedian Des Clarke.
She says: “I was shocked when my name was read out. I never in a million years expected to win an award and I was speechless.
“Customer service is a vital part of my job and to be recognised for this is just great. I am really pleased.”
Stores were invited to nominate employees who continue to go above and beyond the call of duty for customers.
A shortlist was sent to Dame Mary Perkins, co-founder of Specsavers, who personally picked the five winners.
Dame Mary says: “Wow, what a fantastic bunch. Well done to all the winners, the region should be very proud.”
Scotland was named the overall winning region for outstanding customer service for the second year in a row.
