GIRLGUIDING is celebrating its centenary in 2010 and an exhibition in the Meffan Museum, West High Street, Forfar, is currently being held to reflects on the history of Guiding.
A spokesperson said: "While we are looking forward to the future we nonetheless felt it was important to reflect on the history of Guiding.

"Therefore over the last year a team of Guiders from Girlguiding Angus have been pulling together items from the archives and items collected from former members to put together material for a Heritage Exhibition."

The exhibition is currently touring round Angus and will be at the Meffan in Forfar until Saturday, February 20. The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm, except Thursday (tomorrow) when opening times will be from 10am to 1pm.

A spokesperson continued: "On display with the material for the exhibition will be items from the archives specifically relating to Guiding in the Forfar area which we are sure will be of interest to anyone who has been involved in Guiding in the area."
